Questions insurance teams ask early.

The useful answers depend on the operating boundary. These are the principles we use before a detailed assessment establishes the exact scope.

  • Do you replace our policy administration or claims platform?

    Not by default, and usually not first. Most engagements begin around the platforms already in place, because the fastest improvement is normally in integration, operating ownership and data quality rather than in replacement. Where a core change is the right answer, we would rather reach that conclusion from a dependency map than from a product preference.

  • Our core system holds product rules nobody fully documented. Where does that leave us?

    It is the normal starting position rather than an unusual one. The mapping stage treats those rules as an asset to be recovered — traced from behaviour, configuration and the people who operate it — before anything is changed around them. Modernising in increments exists precisely so that recovering a rule and relying on it do not have to happen in the same release.

  • How do you handle broker, aggregator and delegated-authority interfaces?

    We include them in the service map and the escalation model, with failure isolation and replay paths agreed per partner. Aevis can coordinate operational work across those boundaries, but does not assume a third party’s obligations unless that responsibility is explicitly contracted.

  • Can you support us through a weather event or a renewal peak?

    That is what the event-readiness work is for. Surge capacity, escalation, communication and the order in which services degrade are agreed and rehearsed in advance, because a plan first assembled during the event is the one that fails. What Aevis provides within it is set out in the service agreement.

  • Can an engagement begin with one journey or problem?

    Yes. A claims triage bottleneck, a failing partner interface, a data-quality problem in reporting or a single modernisation question can all be sensible entry points. We still map adjacent dependencies so the local fix does not create a hidden failure elsewhere.

  • Will this guarantee regulatory compliance or uninterrupted service?

    No. No technology provider can guarantee either. Aevis supports the operations, engineering, evidence and improvement practices within the agreed scope; the organisation retains responsibility for regulatory interpretation, underwriting and claims authority, formal compliance and business risk decisions.
